The number of cases obesity, diabetes and liver disease in developed and developing countries, coupled with already high rates of cardiovascular disease, has reached unprecedented proportions. Together, these diseases and more importantly, their interactions, are grouped under the relatively new concept of cardiometabolic disorders.
Little known to the general public, the field of cardiometabolism is in full swing. Entirely dedicated to the study and understanding of these disorders, the IHU-ICAN is one of the precursors of this revolution. It brings together researchers, clinicians and physicians to support the patient in a holistic and multidisciplinary way in the context of personalized and translational medicine.
For its 6th edition, the 2019 ICAN Series “Cardiometabolic Disease Interfaces Defining New Paradigms” brings together world-renowned speakers from all aspects of basic and clinical research. This year’s conference promises to present the latest advances and innovative methods in this complex field.
